Many New Year Blessings to You

Another year has passed and as I close my year, I have a few rituals that I perform to prepare me for the many blessings that the new year is to bring. I believe you cannot look forward until you give thanks for what you have overcome and learned from the past. In this world full of uncertainty, I believe we have to create our own certainty in our lives and what I mean by that is simple and something anyone can do. Here is how it works - grab your journal, a hot cup of your favorite tea, slip into your robe and slippers and put on some of your favorite classical music. If you have a fireplace, grab the remote and click that on too! Now you are ready. Close your eyes for a minute and take a deep breath. When you open them, look at the time and title the top of your paper with What I Know for Sure and begin writing. You will continue writing and not lifting your pen to stop for at least five minutes. When you are done, read through your list, close your eyes, and thank God for the certainty you have in your life. Without certainty, we have no direction. Certainty is our security blanket when life presents obstacles. Once you finish your list, begin writing your vision for the new year. Write it starting with I am...as if your dreams have already come true. I promise you that you will thoroughly enjoy this exercise.

Speaking of exercise, I am sure by now you have read my email about all of the weight many women (including myself) have gained this past year. Many of us are taking part in the 27 Fit Total Body Challenge starting on January 5th. Will you be joining us? Women that Win and Women's Wellness Society members will get a special rate of $127 for an entire month of support and personal training. Click here to learn more.

In other news, this is a very exciting time for Women that Win and me personally. I have so enjoyed the small Holiday break and have spent far too much time getting more addicted to Facebook daily. I have reconnected with hundreds of old friends and I am very excited about the many ways this website will change the face of all of our businesses. If you are on Facebook, LinkedIn or MySpace, please look me up. If you are not, time to get connected, this is the wave of the future. Also on the break, my kids started their own businesses. The younger ones started a snack company and the older ones are doing cleaning and outdoor work. I have enjoyed teaching them business skills and watching them learn the value of money. It has been an amazing year and I can truly say that because I am blessed for all the little things I have learned and all the amazing people I have met this year. I wish many blessings to you in the New Year. May all your dreams come true!
